If you forget to apply AUTAN, you allow insects to land on your skin and bite or sting. For such occurrences, AUTAN has developed the AUTAN After-Insect-Bites Stick, which helps to soothe and treat the affected area of skin.
What happens when an insect bites?
When a mosquito bites, the proteins in the mosquito's saliva causes a reaction in the body's immune system. This almost unnoticeable to begin with, but a delayed reaction takes place 10-24 hours after the bite. A red swelling forms which is often painful and itches, and as the automatic reaction is to scratch the area, there is a risk of infection.
The AUTAN After-bite product cares for the irritated skin, soothing it and dispelling the redness around the bite as well as stopping the itching and having a lasting cooling effect. This is due to the unique complex of inerts including bisabolol and panthenol, which is well known for it's soothing properties.
Bisabolol
A substance derived from camomile, which stops inflammation
Panthenol
A B-group vitamin, with excellent skin cares qualities. The AUTAN After-insect-bites Stick is very simple to use. The Stick incorporates a sponge, which is used to dab the solution onto the affected area, while the spray allows the user to apply the soothing liquid directly to the skin without touching it. Due to the convenient size and shape, it fits comfortably into a handbag, glove compartment or even a pocket.
Good news for holidaymakers: AUTAN After-insect-bites can also combat the affect of stinging nettles and jellyfish bites and belongs in every tourist’s luggage.
Don't forget:
On no account use the AUTAN After-insect-bites Stick as a repellent. AUTAN After-insect-bites does not contain Icaridin* and has no repellent action.
Please treat AUTAN After-bite like you would any other after-bite products: note the warnings and follow the instructions
*Icaridin also known around the world as KBR or Bayrepel (trademark of Bayer AG)
